Still Life Images; Eucalyptus and Babies Breath

Shooting for yourself is one of the best things you can do when you feel stretched thin. I can't tell you exactly what our Sunday was like, but it was stressful to say the least. It seems everyone was wanting to fight, hit, yell...even I have to remind myself to watch my tone of voice sometimes. We found playing "tag" through the backyard sprinklers with our clothes on in the afternoon to be a fun reprieve from the bickering. Dinner time came and I saw the vase of flowers left over from my mentoring session on Friday...the eucalyptus has character and the babies breath is just pretty.  As soon as dinner was over, I slipped away for 20 minutes after my husband got home... just me and the flowers.

Isn't it amazing the details in these pretty things that make up creation? Simple and beautiful!

I imagine myself sounding like Eliza Doolittle when she says she wants to work in a flower shop...I would love to work in one too, making beautiful arrangements for people. The smells would also be amazing...
